The Foster Family have farmed at Burley Meadows for 60 years. We starting delivering our own milk to doorstep customers in 2010 and built up a loyal customer base.

Following Tom's semi-retirement in 2026 and the sale of our dairy herd, we decided to continue with our milk delivery service and teamed up with our friends Richard and Jo Harris at Alkmonton Dairy. We have collaborated with them to produce our own 'Duffield Range' of  unhomogenised milk which we deliver to doorstep and business customers within a 10 mile radius of the farm.

Richard and Jo run their family business near Ashbourne, milking a herd of 215 pedigree Ayrshire cows, they share our same passion for sustainability, their carbon footprint is reduced with local deliveries, a fleet of electric vehicles, solar panels powering their plant and feeding home grown produce. The herd's diet is 100% soya and Bovaer free!

The milk we sell is pasteurised but NOT homogenised. Homogenisation is a process where the fat particles are broken down so the cream no longer rises to the top of the milk  - enjoy the cream or give it a shake!

Feedback from our baristas, cafes, bakers and cheese makers tell us that our unhomogenised milk makes a good product into the best product.
